What a thrill to work with him and what a thrill to hear the comments of people who have actually seen me perform!

Maybe he got tired of drummers like “Artie” who spilled beer all over the mic cables, maybe he got tired of people saying “two” over and over into the mic. MUSICIANS: STOP SAYING “TWO” INTO THE MIC!!!!

You could tell he had a bright future back then. It was weird to see a little kid smoke on stage. I’ll always remember his unforgettable interpretation of “Funky Broadway.” Anyway it’s nice to catch up w/ him on this video.

P.S. Any decent soundman knows that the cure for squealing is to turn the reverb up to 8 or 9 and have the performer sing in a hushed whisper.

After a couple of hours my finger cramped (from holding it in the air) with no “miracle” insight we were forced to turn around and drive home with only our imaginations to turn too…Grateful does not begin to capture the feeling I have swelling inside me having found this intimate video from soundcheck. Thanks is really all I can say.
