Lorb sings Folsom Prison Blues
In this video you see Lorb Lorbson at his best, and if you listen carefully and watch in certain scenes you can actually see one of Lorb’s biggest fans really getting into the music and providing a spark of energy to the whole performance. People do tend to get pretty excited when they hear what Lorb does to a classic song. It’s great to see an artist and his audience communicate like this!
Will you ever recreate that amazing rendition of Mockingbird that got intentionally destroyed, or will you maybe do it as a duet this time? Rock on dude!
Lydian,
I WOULD consider collaborating with anyone! As far as that man is concerned, a new performance video was unearthed by Ron Cranstence in which that man is featured prominently. It’s a performance of the great Stevie Wonder classic, ‘Higher Ground’. Look for that tape to be released very soon! And of course, I have a feeling that a lot of my scat will come out soon.
Would Lorb ever consider letting that fan collaborate on an original piece with him? I think the chemistry is undeniable.
Lorb seems to have experience in the world of incarceration. He knows the bonds of fame, the prison of loneliness that we call “ACTING”. The fan is but a reflection of ALL of our longings for past present and future. Lorb KNOWS.
I have nothing but positively negative things to say about that fan. But, Lorb, if you could get his autograph for me that would be great; it would really help.
Yow, that was intense!! I’m a big fan of Lorb’s an I never did see that video before. I liked it. Lorb singing always speaks to me–just like he’s talkin’ to me- alone and personal. That’s what makes Lorb so special. You can see him workin’ that magic at the Cheripintera that night in the video. I bet he gota lot of tips that night!!
That is some cosmic chemistry! To Lord Lorbson’s performance to the next level which is saying something. I’m a fan of that fanatical fan.
Good question, Jason. I know he was there when I performed at Folsom Prison. That particular concert is one I’d rather forget. Still, I have nothing but positive things to say about that man. And, yes, he DOES know, by heart, all of my originals. It’s something I’m trying to deal with in the best way I can. I’m sure everything will be o.k.
Stay tuned. New scat releases on their way!! The Way We Were, After the Lovin’ and The Rocky Raccoon Scat to name just a few.
Might that fan have been in Folsom State Prison for Cash’s performance? Is there any evidence that the fan knows any of Lorb’s originals?
In watching Lorb perform, I can’t help but understand why people have strong reactions. I, myself, felt strongly about that performance.
Where’s it goin ?!?!
I think anyone would get excited to hear that rendition of the Johnny Cash classic!
I have nothing but positive things to say about that man. He actually comes to my performances.
